The Tsugami SS20MH-III-5AX sliding headstock lathe with B-axis is a chucker-convertible, high-performance automatic CNC lathe that offers full 5-axis simultaneous machining with a FANUC 31i-B5 Plus control.
The SS20MH-III-5AX joins the Tsugami America multifunction portfolio. This machine’s backworking overlap with live tool capability allows for multiple tools in the cut, and shorter cycle times. This extremely versatile machine weighs in at 11,660 lbs and is equipped with a 25,000 rpm B-axis tool spindle with a 30-tool magazine, and 6 live tool position on the subside Y-axis for optimum allocation of machining capability.
The Tsugami SS20MH-III-5AX makes it possible to machine the most complex shaped parts from barstock complete and corresponds to heavy-duty cutting by using CAPTO C3 dual contact holder. The linear scales on the X1, Y1, Z1, and X2 axis slides are provided as standard, for ensured high accuracy machining and repeatability.
