The Okuma LU3000 EX turning venter is Okuma’s latest evolution of 4-axis turning in the 8- to 10- inch chuck class. Two tools at work simultaneously provide process flexibility as well as high removal rates. The large work ranges of the upper (V12) and lower (V8) turrets mean less interference and more flexibility. The LU3000 EX has a 45-degree box bed with all bow way consutrction, which provides optimum support for the carriage and corss slide. The three-point bearing support for the spindle means stability and long life for this very accurate spindle. The LU3000 EX is equipped with the Okuma’s OSP-P500 control that is designed with ease of operation in mind, With single-mode operation and superioir graphics, noive operators, as well as professional machinists, will experience a smoother, more effective way of producing parts.
