The GT5i G4 lathe configuration is ideal for turning parts that require workpiece clamping with steady rests, as the carriage and steady rests move on different slides.
The 4-guide configuration allows for easy loading of parts, especially long parts.
The four guides allow higher productivity due to the reduction of manipulations on the part to be machined.
